Group Global 3000
Gallery for sustainable art in Berlin
Since 2012, the gallery Group Global 3000 (GG3) has focused its artistic discourse on sustainability with an emphasis on ecology. Through annual open calls, it invites international artists working in different media with and around the global topic of sustainability. In presentations such as group exhibitions, lectures and performance actions, GG3 aims to advance sustainability as a socially relevant and world-changing process.
Opening hours: During exhibitions, the gallery is open Tuesdays and Fridays from 17:00 to 20:00 and by appointment. Events from 19:00. Free admission.
Our ecological practice: We use reclaimed materials whenever possible, reuse exhibition materials such as pedestals, use energy-saving LED and energy-saving lamps, switch off electrical devices with switchable sockets, use electricity from the building’s combined heat and power plant and green electricity for our website. We heat only during usage times, pay attention to ventilation, separate waste, use recycled paper whenever possible and environmentally friendly cleaning products.
Many exhibiting artists pay attention to sustainable materials and ways of living. We hope that artists use as little fossil energy as possible on their way to us, work energy-efficiently for their works and recycle materials. For artists living far away, we reduce travel by receiving and shipping packages and by downloading audio and video files. For open calls, we ask artists to reduce photos sent by email to a maximum of 300 KB.
