super bien! Berlin
Greenhouse for contemporary art in public space
super bien! Berlin is a non-commercial project space for site-specific installations and interventions. Located in a publicly accessible courtyard of the Milchhof e.V. studio building in Berlin Mitte, the project space consists of a standard greenhouse that offers a view of art 24 hours a day.
In about 6 exhibitions per year, super bien! Berlin has shown a broad range of works since 2006 in relation to the sculptural structure and material transparency of the exhibition space, its location in public space, the history of its site (a schoolyard during the GDR), its vegetal theme, the permanent changeability of light and temperature, and many other aspects that form a complementary model to the white cube.
Founded in 2006 by Anne Katrin Stork, Carlos Silva and David Keating. Concept & organization with Anne Katrin Stork (Sept 2007—March 2019), Irène Hug (Apr 2019—Dec 2021), Elisabeth Sonneck (since March 2018).
